Hupshu or peasant militia levied by the City-States of Syria & Canaan, those of Mitanni, Middle Kingdom Assyria, Kassite & Middle Kingdom Babylonia and the Hittite Empire.

The warriors of the Early Hebrew (Habiru) tribes and other Nomadic Desert or Dry Steppe Bedouin armies of both the Late Bronze Age and Iron Age would have all dressed similarly. These include the early Aramaeans, (Akhalamu), Shosu or Sutu, Midianites and Amelekites. They are armed with a light Spear and either a round or oblong wicker shield.

These figures may be mixed in with Levy Spearmen I to give units a more irregular appearance in Late Bronze Age armies.

Round shields started to appear in the latter part of the Late Bronze Age and continued into the Iron Age. These figures are also suitable as Levy or Militia spearmen or javelinmen in Philistine & Later Canaanite armies of the Iron Age.

Pack contains 8 Figures (nominally 2 of each type pictured, though variations may occur)
